Sophia Manole
Bună! Numele meu este Sophia, sunt în clasa a zecea, È™i mă duc la È™coală la Newport High School. Dincolo de È™coală, îmi place foarte mult să joc tenis. Unul dintre lucrurile noi pe care le-am făcut anul acesta a fost să joc tenis pentru echipa liceului. În timpul meu liber, sunt voluntar la diferite locuri. În fiecare săptămână, lucrez cu un băiet de 9 ani care are nevoie de ajutor cu matematică È™i citit. In plus, acum câteva săptămâni, am început să voluntariez la o linie de telefon unde vorbesc cu copii de vârsta mea care au nevoie să vorbească cu cineva despre problemele lor.
Toată familia mea vine din România È™i eu sunt prima din familie care a fost crescută aici în America. Cred că asta îmi dă un avantaj când mă compar cu colegii de la È™coală pentru că văd diferite soluÈ›ie la probleme È™i am altă perspectivă când privesc lucrurile din jurul meu.

Hi! My name is Sophia, I'm in tenth grade, and I go to Newport High School. Outside of school, I really enjoy playing tennis. One of the new things I did this year was play tennis on the school team. In my free time, I volunteer at different places. Every week, I work with a 9 year old boy who needs help with math and reading. Also, a couple of weeks ago, I started to volunteer at a phone line where I talk to kids my age who need to talk to someone about problems in their lives.
My entire family is from Romania and I am the first in the family to be raised here in America. I think that gives me an advantage when I compare myself with my classmates, because I see different solutions to problems and I have a different perspective when I look at things around me.
